While teaching the 4 & 5 year-olds' singing time during Sunday School, I asked if anyone remembered my name (since they had just learned it the previous week).
One little boy raised his hand and said, in all seriousness, "It's Weather."
So sad that I had to correct him since he was so close, I asked the entire class of 16(!) to repeat my name, "Miss Heather."
Another little boy proudly yells at the top of his lungs, "It's Miss Heffer!"
Heather is a hard name for little people just learning to talk. My brothers both called me "Header;" my cousin called me "Heller." Of course, there has been "Feather" and "Leather."
All of these names just make me smile.

Kid's do say the some of the funniest things. It will be interesting to hear if they remember the next time!
